7. Parastou Forouhar

Here is a sample of Iranian artist Parastou Forouhar's work which was just recently exhibited at the Leighton House Museum in Holland Park, London. Politically charged, Parastou has had difficulty in the past exhibiting her pieces in Iran. Her parents were assassinated in their home by Iranian agents in a string of staged murders known as the Chain murders of Iran, a series of apparently orchestrated murders and disappearances during the 1990s of Iranian dissident intellectuals who had been critical of the Islamic Republic system in some way.
